IIT GUWAHATI

NIT Sikkim and IIT Guwahati have come closer in various spheres. The long informal relationship between two sister institutes from the North East materialised into strong academic bonding when IIT Guwahati and NIT Sikkim signed an MoU for research and development.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) encompasses a range of advantageous prospects for the advancing institution, including:

1. Informal faculty exchange, fostering a mutually beneficial exchange of knowledge and expertise.

2. Provision of assistance in conducting laboratory examinations for B.Tech students. Notably, a select group of students has been granted the opportunity to undertake their ECE, CSE, and EEE studies at IIT Guwahati over the past two years. We have consistently dispatched a cohort of outstanding students to IIT Guwahati for academic exposure, laboratory sessions, and examinations.

3. IIT Guwahati has facilitated NIT Sikkim by granting access to various placement drives. Many of our students from the inaugural batch at NIT Sikkim have successfully secured employment by participating in these placement drives hosted at IIT Guwahati.

4. In addition, IIT Guwahati has generously extended access to its library, laboratories, and various other departments to the esteemed faculty members of NIT Sikkim, enabling them to pursue their academic endeavors.

5. These sister institutes have established a robust collaborative relationship at the upper echelons, encompassing a multitude of objectives.

IIT KHARAGPUR

In its pursuit of academic excellence, NIT Sikkim is thriving hard for setting up ever new milestones of success. It was always felt by the higher-ups and the faculty members that we should have a strong bonding with one of the most prestigious and recognised institutes.

IIT HYDERABAD

NIT Sikkim has signed an MoU with IIT Hyderabad for promoting institutional collaboration in education and research. The two institutes will work together towards promoting interaction and research collaboration among faculty members, research staff and students.

IIT BHILAI

IIT Bhilai and NIT Sikkim sign an MOU for collaboration in research and academic activities. The partnership aims to foster knowledge exchange and promote joint initiatives between the two prestigious institutions. The MOU seeks to enhance educational opportunities and facilitate collaborative research projects for mutual growth and development.

IIT BOMBAY

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Sikkim has signed an MoU with IIT-Bombay to facilitate student exchange, academic cooperation, and research collaboration among faculty members, a press release on Monday informs.

IIT DELHI

Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and the National Institute of Technology Sikkim have recently signed an MoU to foster academic and research collaboration in areas of mutual interest. Under this MOU, NIT Sikkim's B. Tech. students would qualify for direct admission to IIT Delhi's PhD programmes without qualifying for GATE or other national-level exams

NIPER Kolkata and NIT Sikkim unite through an MOU, fostering collaborative endeavours in research, knowledge exchange, and academic synergy. This partnership paves the way for innovative advancements, leveraging the strengths of both institutions to drive excellence in pharmaceutical education and contribute to societal well-being.

CCCT CHISOPANI and NIT Sikkim enter an MOU, fostering collaboration in research, innovation, and education. By combining expertise and resources, they aim to cultivate a transformative learning environment, promote knowledge exchange, and advance technological solutions for societal development.

TUD GERMANY

The National Institute of Technology Sikkim has signed the ABROAD LEARNING AGREEMENT with the Centre for Information Services and High-Performance Computing (ZIH), TU Germany. The agreement materialised when one of our students, Mr Ankur Sharma (Roll. B100005CS ) joined the Centre for Information Services and High-Performance Computing (ZIH), TU Dresden Germany as a visiting exchange student to conduct his one semester along with simultaneous project work for his Bachelor thesis at CIHP, TU Dresden, Germany.

UB GERMANY

The research initiatives of the National Institute of Technology Sikkim yielded a positive result when one of its PhD scholars, Mr Himangshu Sarma, was selected to carry out his PhD thesis under the joint PhD programme with the University of Bremen, Germany. The said PhD programme is sponsored by the CLINK programme of the European Union.
