Placement Process

The Placement Office has implemented a highly efficient online system to facilitate the placement process. The process for campus placement follows the following plan:
  • The Placement Office, which serves as the official contact for placements at NIT Sikkim, or the Placement Cell, comprising student representatives appointed by the Placement Office, sends invitations and pertinent details to companies/organisations.
  • Companies/Organisations interested in recruiting can register themselves on the website here.
  • Upon successful registration, the Company/Organization will receive their login credentials (username and password) via email, which they provided during the signup process. The registration process will be finalised only once the company logs in and completes the Job Announcement Form (JAF) on the platform.
  • If the company/organisation is interested in conducting a Pre-Placement Talk (PPT) they can send a request along with the preferred dates.
  • The JAF is made available to the students, along with any other information furnished by the company/organisation.
  • Students who meet the criteria specified by the organisations and express their interest in participating in a company's recruitment process can signify their willingness by signing the Job Announcement Form (JAF) associated with that company.
  • The Placement Office, in coordination with the concerned companies/organisations, determines the dates for the recruitment process, taking into consideration factors such as student preferences, job profiles, and other relevant criteria.
  • Companies/Organisations have the opportunity to review the resumes of interested students and select candidates based on the specified criteria.
  • On the designated date(s) assigned to them, companies/organisations visit the campus and carry out tests and/or interviews as per their recruitment process.
  • The company/organisation is required to furnish the final list of students on the date of the interview.
  • The Placement Office additionally facilitates the process of students signing offer letters upon their selection, ensuring prompt delivery to the respective company/organisation.
